Quite a while ago EA was voted on the consumerist by 250,000 people the worst company in America, defeating the likes of Bank of America and Walmart.
They released a statement shortly afterwards criticizing the non-inclusion of other more unpopular companies like oil, tobacco and weapons companies in the voting pool in an effort to shove it all off but it didn't work out as articles about non-consumer friendly policies that EA was practicing started appearing all over the place, (including Forbes magazine).
Apparently this sudden outburst in criticism led EA to more desperate damage control measures which leads me to what I wanted to share with you guys: an update to the Origin Account Policy.
If you didn't know EA started its own gaming platform very similar to Steam but for EA titles named Origin. Just like steam one of the biggest issues involving Origin has been centered around the inaccessibility of entitlements, DLC and games when your account gets banned. Well, EA has addressed this issue and updated their policy statement regarding Origin accounts at their official website.
I imagine this will continue to spread as a sign of good faith from Electronic Arts to remedy their negative reputation. Its definitely working, at least for me. My only complain with Steam is that for one mistake that gets you banned you lose ALL your games on that accout, I will surely buy my EA games from Origin from now on.
I hope this represents the start of a change in EA and not just damage control for the consumerist awards. Who knows, we might even see a good Command and Conquer in the future.

Obscure games: Timeshift
TimeShift is a sci-fi first-person shooter developed by Saber Interactive and published by Sierra Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in fall 2007. Timeshift had a very troublesome development, after switching 2 publishers and going through 2 delays. It was finally published by Vivendi after reveiving a complete overhaul and a massive bug fixing together with a major visual improvement.
It tries to be innovative with it's time controling mechanics, but gets dumbed down by repetitive gameplay and a simply bad plot.
Although from the trailer it might seem like Prince of Persia with guns, it isn't.

Retro Gaming: C&C Renegade
Command & Conquer: Renegade is a first person shooter developed by Westwood Studios. It was released in March 1, 2002 in Europe by EA Games. It is the first shooter of the Command & Conquer series making it very approachable for people who are new to the C&C series.
The purpose of the game was both to further immerse the fans of the series into it's universe and to gain new followers.
As any Westwood Studios game it has great production values:
-It's engine is built to support real world physics and allow seamless movement from indoor to outdoor environments. The levels are huge and they are set all over the world in various countries and climates.
-The NPC's have their movements motion-captured to make them more realistic.
-The between-level cutscenes are just the way you expected from a C&C game.

Mount & Blade: Warband
Mount & Blade:Warband is the first sequel to the action role playing game Mount & Blade. It was developed by the turkish game developers at TaleWorlds and was published by Paradox Interactive on March 30, 2010.
The sequel is very much like it's predecesor with only a few(but quite important) changes and tweaks as well as a higher focus on MULTYPLAYER. Warband expands on the original game by introducing a sixth faction, increasing the political options, allowing players to start their own faction, and incorporating multiplayer modes. The introduction of political options allows players to influence lords and marry ladies, and it is possible for an unaligned player to capture a town or castle and start their own faction.
The original was praised for its innovative combat mechanics, complex character skill system, and large modding community, but also criticized it for its repetitive quests, dialogues, and locations, as well as low graphics quality.
The free demo and more below!

Here is SeaNanners' journey to the Nether. It's episoade 17 of his Welcome to Minecraft series. This series is very long but it's Minecraft at it's best so if you have spare time, it could keep you really entertained.

Blacklight: Tango Down
Among one of the few good online FPS's on the market right now there is this game called Blacklight: Tango Down.
It isn't exactly Call of Duty Black Ops, but if you somehow want to take a break from the COD franchise and try something new Flashlight is the way to go!
It has been released in July for all platforms(PC, PS3, Xbox 360) and even though it couldn't compete with Black Ops, it still keeps it's player base alive.
The game is made for multiplayer. It has also a co-op mode but with no storyline at all.
It stands out by offering the Hyper Reality Visor which is practicly a device that allows you to see people through walls for a short(very short) period of time.
This mecanic can be countered by the use of special grenades that when they explode they create an EMP field among them thus players with the HRV can only see static there.
This mecanic is the strong point of the game, setting it appart from Call of Duty and possibly opening a new trend in the video game industry.
Games that bring innovation are tough to find these days so I really recommend you give it a try.

Merry Christmas
OK so Christmas is here guys, that time for sharing and loving. I hope you all got what you wanted and had a good one.
I am personally not feeling it this year. There is no snow, the sky is cloudy and crappy, the same Christmas movies like in all the years where they get this self-centred person and they get Santa to stuff some ol' christmas spirit in him.
It's all presents and shit anyway. I doubt that more that 1 out of 10 people now that Christmas is about Jesus Christ....
Anyway for Christmas I have for all of you montage lovers out there some videos that are "tuned" to the hollydays.
Even if you are not a COD player, montage lover or even gamer; you should see the introduction of this video as it is purely hilarious.
This is, ladies and gentlemen, zzirGrizz....
And Darth Aim Bot
Also for the comment questions of the week:
How often do you shop online? What do you shop and where do you shop?

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Montages
Bad Company 2 is not the type of game you just hop in take a gun a shoot people. While this formula is fun there is an abundance of games that do it. BC2 is not that type of game, it needs tactic, rapid thinking and teamwork. The game stands out with it's realism, physics and skill required to play. BC2 matches oftenly take a while because of the huge maps kills are not so spectacular as gameplay is not so aggresive like in other games of the genre. Reason why BC2 does not have so many montages and stuff.
However gameplay videos with commentaries are equaly interesting as it takes us into the world of REAL modern warfare.
A video that shows some flanking routes for the massive maps of BC2.

Bad Company 2 time
Bad Company 2 is one of the best shooters out there. If my PC would handle it I would surely play it every day. I have not featured many Bad Company montages, commentaries and gameplay video, because there just aren't many. I have found a considerable amount of these videos on a channel called PIXELENEMY.
As such I declare this week, Bad Company 2 week.
Here some videos to get you into the game, I'll start with actual montages and commentaries tomorrow.
First a short gameplay video....
Then a Tutorial...
P.S. As I said I still have some exams to go through, I'll be a more active member in the blog-o-sphere after they are over and don't be discouraged to stay tuned to this blog. Read the post below. Don't forget to tell pe about typos in the comments.

News and Montages.
Hi there. For today we have some MoH montages but before that...
My last exam is on the 15th December after that, during the winter brake, I will have more time to manage my blog. Blew (the guy who did the logo) is working on a PixelShredder-exclusive theme for the blog and also a new background.
I will also try to do a Killing Floor gameplay+commentaries, I really feel that game is underated and want to spread the word.
Also in a couple of weeks I will be introducing THE BACKLINKS SECTION. After the end of my one of my post I will ask a question to see if anyone is actually reading my blog. The first 5 people with correct answers will get their blog featured there for 1 month.
Also because I heard you like tuna(sorry for the typo I didn't mean Tunna the Anatolian city.) I will post my tuna salad recipe Sunday.
Here are the montages promised.

Best Starcraft Match...ever!!
Yesterday I had a bit of spare time before going to school and I started watching some old commentaries by HDStarcaft. After a while I stumbled upon something that is my favorite match to date. It's called Greenpine vs "Bob".
The reason why this is the absolute best Starcraft match I've seen to date is because it's a TvT where one of the players uses the "renewable energy" of his massive army of Ravens to overwhelm and defeat his opponent.
See for yourself how pure win is this game.

Fable III, The Black Angels
As soon as I saw for the first time the Fable III It's a Revolution trailer I feel in love with the music.
After some digging in the comment section I found the name of the band:The Black Angels. listened to a couple of songs and it turned out to be a band that i very much like.
About the game itself I'm pretty hyped, the marketing is very good, both trailers I've seen are just perfect, short and to the point. Also even though the previous games in the series didn't live up to their own promises I liked them.
I'm sure you've all seen the trailer but if you didn't know about The Black Angels here are some of their songs....
The song from the trailer.
And another song I like

First week of Black Ops
Black Ops has been out for quite a while now. It may not have sold as much am MW2 but it is defenetly BETTER that it. It got generally pozitive reviews and unlike it's predecesor, predicaments say that it will not suck in a couple of months because of the community finding broken stuff in the game and abusing it.
It features a 6 hour singleplayer which is perfect for a COD game. The campaign is considered by many the best CoD campaign, it's action packed and it never slows down.
The multyplayer brings a highly, much highly than before, customizable class system. You change the camo on your face to the color of the red dot on your red dot sight or the color of the scope on the red dot sight. Noobtubing is totally nerfed, martyrdom is no more.
You may also know or wish to know that they nerfed quickscoping. Now snipers shoot straight only after 2 seconds of scopping. The commnunity also adapted in a way i can't explain but can show you guys in one of the video below.
The only thing more I can say about it is that YOU SHOULD GO AND TRY IT. Treyarch made up for CoD 3 and CoD:WaW with this don't be judgemental. The developers here really took their time in balancing everything to create a not totally broken game and learned from both their and Infinity's mistakes.
I just bought a gaming mouse (A4Tech X7) and I will buy Starcraft 2 and CoD:Black Ops in December, I hope I'll see you guys in the battlefields.
Video Time
Hutch's opinion about the game.
Quick-scoping and noscoping.(also cool music)
Insane ammount of epic kills in 5 seconds type of video:
There are lots of crap out there but this are the must see.
