New Machinimas

Hey there again bloglings. There has been quite a while since I checked out machinima and yesterday when I did I got very surprised of some really awesome videos I've found there. I lost interest in Machinima because I felt that the guys running it kinda sold out, their top 10s where really terrible and EVERYBODY WAS ALWAYS AT A CONVENTION, reasons why there would be entire months without an Inside Gaming episoade. Also with the amount of videos posted there it's hard finding interesting stuff among all the spam videos.

First of all we have "Bite Me", a live-action machinima, with great acting, humorous dialogue and great script. The series has 5 episoades so far( I think) and it features 3 friends, that are caught in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. It's really worth it.

First episoade:

If you liked it you can find the other episoades here:
Episoade 2
Episoade 3
Episoade 4
Episoade 5

Episoade 5 is my favorite when the zombies get into the house and one of the girls tries to trow a Xbox at a zombie but this dude is like  STOP, STOP, YOU STUPID FUCKING BITCH!! and everyone including the zombies just pauses for a minute with the WTF look on their faces, it''s hilarious.

Crysis 2 Demo

Crysis 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts which is to be released in late march this year. As you know, it will be powered by the incredibly powerful CryEngine 3 game engine.

COD4 is not dead!

First of all sorry for the non-english post lately on my blog, it's just that there has been a couple of contests in which I had to review my favorite gadget/give them some suggestions for their site in the form of a post in my blog, in romanian.
I'm over with them some let's get to buisness gentlemen.

I have not been putting many montages lately. Montages where the idea that started this blog so I should really post some more. There is a ton of them that came out in 2011, here are just a few, taken from Hazard Cinema.
Please enjoy!

Reasons why FO: New Vegas is better than FO:3

This is my personal opinion anyway, feel free to comment below why you think the contrary.
So here we go.

The Brotherhood of Steel, everpresent in the Fallout Universe.

-First we have hardcore mode. A type of play that does not affect the difficulty of the game, it only adds realism to the game by adding factors such as dehydratation and sleep depravation to the list of things the player has to worry about. For gamers like me who want it though(no pun intended) this is a very welcomed feature.
Also it makes sure that food and water actually has a purpose in the game. In FO: 3 I just stacked hundreds of pounds of food in my fridge in megaton without ever using it.
This feature has a negative side too: if a body part gets crippled, the only way to heal is going to a medic or using a special item named doctor bag. This can be frustrating as if you ran out of doctor bags in the middle of a battle, you are screwed. Did I mention they are pretty rare?

-Better writting staff... In Fallout 3, a vault-dweller who spent all his life locked in a vault, messes up the whole capital wasteland by becoming in a couple of weeks the richest and most powerful entity in the wastes, just to find his father. Here you do have a higher purpose, driven in the beggining by revenge, you are manipulated by higher minds than you but you eventualy get to change the fate of the New Vegas and the Mojave wasteland.

-Then you have the faction mechanic. Comit a crime against a faction they will attack you, do a good deed, they will be nicer. Wear an armor belonging to a faction you will inherit both it's enemies and it's allies.
This mechanic makes you feel like part of something bigger and a you can really feel the presure between the factions in the Mojave.

-Gambling. Can't really say more. It's just a gimmick I consider to be cool and deserves to be mentioned.

These are not the reasons Fallout 3 sucks, only the reasons why Fallout NV is better. The developers really took this engine and the Fallout series one step beyond. The game is not perfect though. We have not yet forgotten the billions of bugs the game had at release, nor the invisible walls which are so many in the game, you just get incredibly pissed after a while but the developers seem to have learned from their mistakes and lets hope we'll have tons of DLC coming soon.

Obscure games: Timeshift

TimeShift is a sci-fi first-person shooter developed by Saber Interactive and published by Sierra Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in fall 2007. Timeshift had a very troublesome development, after switching 2 publishers and going through 2 delays. It was finally published by Vivendi after reveiving a complete overhaul and a massive bug fixing together with a major visual improvement.
It tries to be innovative with it's time controling mechanics, but gets dumbed down by repetitive gameplay and a simply bad plot.

Although from the trailer it might seem like Prince of Persia with guns, it isn't.

Top 32 reasons why Fable 3 sucks.

The Fable series always promised a lot before release but always failed to deliver.
Now I have not played this game as it was not released on the PC and I will not play it when it comes either.
I didn't really cared they hyped so much the first one and failed to deliver. The main point of gaming is having fun anyway, which I had playing Fable I. I really enjoyed the fairy-taleish design of it and the cliche storyline was really not surprising. About at the second one I got a little feed up and as far as I've seen, they have not learned from their mistakes one single bit since Fable I.
They've really sucked me in the hype with those sick-ass trailers and the promise that it's going to be all innovative and stuff but no...
Yesterday I've seen a video from Angry Joe, my favorite internet personality describing the reasons why Fable III sucks. There are 32 of them, not 3, not 10, not 20, but 32.
Yeah it's that bad....

So tell me guys. Have you played it and if so what are your opinions on it?

Retro Gaming: C&C Renegade

Command & Conquer: Renegade is a first person shooter developed by Westwood Studios. It was released in March 1, 2002 in Europe by EA Games. It is the first shooter of the Command & Conquer series making it very approachable for people who are new to the C&C series.
The purpose of the game was both to further immerse the fans of the series into it's universe and to gain new followers.
As any Westwood Studios game it has great production values:
-It's engine is built to support real world physics and allow seamless movement from indoor to outdoor environments. The levels are huge and they are set all over the world in various countries and climates.
-The NPC's have their movements motion-captured to make them more realistic.
-The between-level cutscenes are just the way you expected from a C&C game.

Mount & Blade: Warband

Mount & Blade:Warband is the first sequel to the action role playing game Mount & Blade. It was developed by the turkish game developers at TaleWorlds and was published by Paradox Interactive on March 30, 2010.
The sequel is very much like it's predecesor with only a few(but quite important) changes and tweaks as well as a higher focus on MULTYPLAYER. Warband expands on the original game by introducing a sixth faction, increasing the political options, allowing players to start their own faction, and incorporating multiplayer modes. The introduction of political options allows players to influence lords and marry ladies, and it is possible for an unaligned player to capture a town or castle and start their own faction.
The original was praised for its innovative combat mechanics, complex character skill system, and large modding community, but also criticized it for its repetitive quests, dialogues, and locations, as well as low graphics quality.
